Quite possibly the last month I enjoy before I go into hibernation mode. Before I do so, here are some of my favourite events over the coming month.

1.
Green Rooms Market at Mercato Metropolitano, Elephant & Castle
12 October
Green Rooms Market, the lush, leafy shopping and workshop event, is headed for Mercato Metropolitano food hall in Elephant & Castle (just-in-time for the autumnal festivities). Green Rooms Market will feature a hand-picked selection of eco-conscious botanical traders that are destined to catch your eye. Discover a plethora of ‘grown not flown’ house plants, cacti and succulents alongside pots and plant accessories made from waste materials. Learn how to reduce consumption by propagating house plants or get crafty and create your own macrame plant hanger using a recycled cord. The icing on the cake here is that you are in a space where food and drink options are bound to have you salivating! Free entry. 11am-5pm. The venue is family-friendly and accessible.
2.
Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet, Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich
12 October
Overlooking the Thames with fabulous views of the river and the bright lights of Canary Wharf, where better to get your funk on? Purchase a ticket and join tons of people, all interested in one thing: DISCO. You have the chance to spend an incredible night in a historic tavern for the time of your life with vinyl DJs, dance line-ups and prizes for the best retro outfits.

3.

4.
England v France Rugby World Cup Screening at Twickenham Stadium
12 October
Head for the national home of rugby to watch the England vs France game on Saturday 12 October at Twickenham Stadium. This clash between the two rugby heavyweights is likely to be the most exciting game in the pool. It's also the final one in this group stage, so there's likely to be a lot left on the pitch. You need to buy tickets, but that includes a cocktail or mocktail on arrival.

5.

Keen to stimulate your brain with a weekend of talks, debates and workshops showcasing literary names, politics, current affairs, sport, film, music, children’s events, comedy and much more?
